Conservatives who think this is just *awesome* should consider how they'd feel if these powers were granted to president Obama, or President Clinton.
Checks and balances are *vital* to the proper functioning of our government. I can't imagine that Bush would have been able to wreak such havoc on our Constitution and the rest of the world if Congress had done its job.
