Glory Boys like John McCain rarely get a taste of the horror they inflict on others. Their suffering rarely extends beyond the high anxiety that they might get shot down and that some bombarded mob on the ground might take its revenge.

I'm sorry McCain was a POW. I'm sorry about what he endured. I'm sorry that 58 thousand men died in Viet Nam. I'm sorry that my brother in law died of brain cancer from agent orange. I'm sorry a dear friend didn't come home. I'm sorry my brother came home a different man. I'm sorry for the homeless vets who were thrown away by their country. Hero's, all of them. Presidential? Probably not.

This is a crude, dirty political propeller entry that is really beneath any real democrat.

Too bad you have to stoop this low.

Is this the ultra-left's version of swift boating? I am ashamed as one who embraces liberal ideals to be linked to those who would post this type of for no better term - CRAP- are we no better than the reactionaries who tried to destroy Kerry? - If this is the course to be taken by liberals I will be obliged to vote for McCain

      FTA

"His Vietnamese capturers soon realized their POW, John Sidney McCain III, came from a well-bred line of American military elites. McCain's father, John Jr., and grandfather, John Sr., were both full Admirals. A destroyer, the USS John S. McCain, is named after both of them."

      OMFingG! this is Fing amazing!

Not that the Vietnamese capturers knew who his father was, but the whole time travel thing!

Yes time travel, See the USS John S. McCain was commissioned July 1994!

      USS John S. McCain (DDG-56)

The ship is named after John S. McCain, Jr. and John S. McCain, Sr., both Admirals in the United States Navy.

      Ordered: December 13, 1988 Laid down: September 3, 1991 Launched: September 26, 1992 Commissioned: July 2, 1994

        Wayyyy too many movies

How many movie plots has this guy strung together for his "story" bout his father?

Master Sergeant Harry Blackman, an adult man in his forties, regular army, a grizzled combat veteran.

The Big Red 1, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, FMJ?

        You folks are gullible. LOL

All those swiftboat commercials had former air force pilots condemning Kerry too! People who bomb indiscriminantly from afar and never have to look the guy (or innocents) in the eye that they are killing should not be allowed to comment on those that have. Damn republican un-americans!

Then for McCain to flip flop on his own Anti-torture Bill after being put on Cheney's carpet... the man has no values and his conscience has failed!

What about Obama who NEVER served this country in any capacity what-so-ever.

And no, graceing the U.S. Senate with his presence and nothing more doesn't count.

and besides the anti-torture bill, there's the new GI Bill.

seems McCain would be all for helping our men and women in uniform get the best education possible. and thats quite an insult to our brave soliders that he refuses to support the new bill.

McCain cites poor retention and high costs for his lack of support for the new GI Bill, but all the studies have shown those fears simply aren't real.

and if McCain is realy worried about poor retention and high costs, then he should want to get out of Iraq asap. Being in Iraq has done more to hurt military retention and more to raise the costs of running the military than anything a new GI Bill could ever do.

"All those swiftboat commercials had former air force pilots condemning Kerry too!"

Yep all those Air Force, Navy, Army and Marines who listen to Kerry's BS Winter Soldier statements condemned Kerry.

Guess what millions of us condemn Kerry for his BS Winter Soldier statements.

We SAW the video! We read the transcript! We followed up on the claims

            KERRY LIED!

All that mattered was his Winter Soldier statements/actions. Every thing else was opinion.

The greatest killer of our guys on the battlefield is ... our own Air Force! Read Crusade by Atkinson... Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan... the bombing of our fellow Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan in a publicized no fly zone... so many examples...

Funny thing though is that the Repugs discourage anti-fratricide efforts... I know this from personal experience. Even now the Army ignores the joint doctrine for responsibility for anti-fratricide efforts!

Don't stop now! You will get it right sooner or later.

When the guy calling in the air strike is RIGHT THERE, there is less chance for error.

How dear you suggest he isn't a certified Hero suffering 5 years of torture. You don't deserve to be called American, to demean a man who gave so much more to this country then you for political purposes. You are discusting.

But ani .... LOL ... just a few months ago ... YOU were leadin the charge in disparagin Johnnys patriotism.

                          *sigh*

It is so difficult to be a loyal Republican ... I mean ... we are ALL OVER THE PLACE!

In fact, I was one of the few Popillerites who was defendin Johnny for his POW tenure. I simply refuse to lower myself to the lowest standards so often exhibited by my fellow Christian Conservatives.

Liek the Swift Boat attack on a brave soldier ... John Kerry.

Liek the Rush Limbaugh attack on soldiers that dont support Goerge Ws omnisience in warfare.

I must say, we Christian Conservatives are bout as straight and true as the Devils Backbone. And bout just as honest.

We will say anything .... LITERALLY ANYTHING .... if it means it scores points against an opposition candidate. Now if that aint Moral Vacancy ... I just dont know what qualifies.

ani - That's what we Dems felt about the Swiftboaters. How's it feel when the shoe is on the other foot?

Did you feel like a real American when the Swiftboaters were smearing Kerry?
