Senators John McCain and Barack Obama released their Senate financial disclosure statements on Friday, revealing that Mr. McCain and his wife had at least $225,000 in credit card debt and that Mr. Obama and his wife had put more than $200,000 into college funds for their daughters.

So let me see if I get this.....the McCain's have 'household assets of $24.6 million to $39.5 million'. Mrs. McCain recently submitted tax record to indicate that she had income of more then $6 million in 2006 and Senator McCain had income of $165K (assuming his Senate Salary is the same as Obama's), $58K from his Navy Pension and $176K from book royalties and signings. That gives them roughly $6.4 million and yet they have credit card debt of $225K and at least one of those cards has as interest rate of 25.99%.
By contrast the Obama's report $273K in Mrs. Obama's salary, $165K for Obama's Senate salary and $4 million from his books. That gives them an income of of roughly $4.4 million.
There money has gone to.... "least $1 million into a money market fund, and in July invested $100,000 to $250,000 into college savings accounts for each of their two daughters" and there is ABSOLUTELY no mention of credit card debt.

  Do we REALLY want a President (who will be inheriting TRILLIONS of dollars in debt) that can't even manage his OWN personal finances?
  Is there anyone (in their right mind) who would WILLINGLY pay interest at 25.99% on a credit card if they didn't have to? I know that I would be doing ANYTHING possible to pay off that card and then cancel it!
