The Democrats have proven once again that they are a bunch of squid afraid of Bush's shadow. (small that it is) Don't they listen to their constituents, the polls, their conscience? What is wrong with these people? If there was ever a time for a third party (with a backbone) it is now. What a disgusting lot!

Obama missed the February vote on that FISA bill as he campaigned in the "Potomac Primaries," but issued a statement that day declaring "I am proud to stand with Senator Dodd, Senator Feingold and a grassroots movement of Americans who are refusing to let President Bush put protections for special interests ahead of our security and our liberty."
Obama declared he will support the bill when it comes to a Senate vote, likely next week, despite misgivings about legal provisions for telecommunications corporations that cooperated with the
Bush administration's warrantless surveillance program of suspected terrorists. â;¦.
Ah yes warrantless surveillance of suspected terrorists,
note:
not warrantless surveillance Americans
not warrantless DOMESTIC surveillance
Which is the ONLY kind that would have required a warrant!

I am a Republican, but I have worked in the city with Democrats, still keep in contact with many, and my daughter was a big Democrat donor until they refused to impeach the President. Anyway, she doesn't like Sen McCain, and made amends with her Democrat side deciding to vote for Obama-----Until today. She will not vote for him if he votes for the FISA bill. This time she means it. The family is going back to voting for Nader.
