      Patriotism: faux news trash

Is it patriotic to support big oil determing energy policy? Is it patriotic to let mortage broker speculators to determine and write finance policy and law?

Is it patriotic to lie about the reasons to send 4500 and counting americans to their death for big oil and unsuccesful nation building for a zionist fantasy sold to the greedy big oil creationist christian zionist evangelical crusaders?

Is it patriotic to severly injure 30,000 americans, and then vote to cut benifits for them in a war you lied about to protect the intrest of big oil and big neocon zionists?

Is it patriotic to let big health insurance write law and policy for our childrens health, let the insurance company determine if our children will live or die?

Is it patriotic to give the rich massive tax cuts, and destroy inheritance tax, IN A TIME OF WAR?

Is it patriotic to make the rich richer, and politicize the freaking Law Enforcement Justice Department?

John McCain's article is extremely well written, while Obama's seems to wander like he's trying to hit topics or please various groups.

So... McCain's speech writer wins this round, in my opinion. Let the debate begin.

(I know, I know. I'm just like Hitler)

"So... McCain's speech writer wins this round, in my opinion. Let the debate begin."

funny you should mention speech writers, since Obama actually writes a lot of his own stuff.

in fact, Obama's breakout speech during the 2004 Dem convention was written by, you guessed it, Obama himself.

can't say the same for McCain.

Obama's essay is all about Obama as usual but as far a patriotism didn't notice any.

Yeah, I got a kick out of how he pretends not to belong to a "community." Twenty years attending the "I Hate America" Church of Cultural Loathing says otherwise.

It is difficult to believe anyone who sat in Church and listened to Rev Jeremiah Wright curse, and damn America, call her America USA of KKK, listen to whinning about how awful this country is for 20 years, and then turn around and try to prove your Patriotism. He hates this country, and hates white people, and he is as phony as a three dollar bill. He accompanied Rev Wright, and Louis Farrahkan to Lybia in 1995 when that country was off limits to Americans. I do not see anyone believing his Patriotism today.

He won't wear a flag pin, he won't salute the flag, his pastor and friend says God damn America and we're supposed to believe the man is patriotic? I don't like his brand of patriotism, and I don't think most of America does either.

Well, coming from a hard right wing white person who still is living the life of Jim Crow, Im not suprised by your senile racism.

Vote republican, so Grani and her ilk will be appointed to policy making positions, probably in public media, or law enforcement.

Vote republican, vote for grani. Grani would get more votes from the right wing militia types than McCain.

And remember, McSenile is even older than grani.

I liked Obama's flag pin very much although McCains tie was outstanding and how about all of those stars. I'm sure that Obama's LEFT hand being up must have been some kind of al Quida signal although he did have his wedding ring on. Does he really think we're going to fall for that old trick?

Yes, Obama is an elitist who looks down his nose at ordinary Americans, thinks we are clinging to our guns, and our God because of some lack of riches. We all need a Political Fixer like Tony Rezko to help us buy a multi-million dollar mansion, and a Godfather like George Soros to make us a Presidential Candidate. He is a shallow little man who is a composit of all the people he has come into contact with all of his life.

McCain knows better than Obama what patriotism is.

He is older and had years in a box to think about what a flag really means.

He defines patriotism as acts in service of one's country*. Call it back to basics; it's a direct refutation of tin lapel-pin patriotism.

Obama loves his country the way anyone bright and young and successful loves the dawn; ok, lets get going! He connects it to everything; ideals, heritage, and mostly, the future.

I think a grownup would see McCain's definition as better; it actualy means something. But -

          - I wish I had the energy and lack of cynicism, to prefer Obama's.

          __________...

          * my words, not his

McCain: Big Oil should write americas energy policy

McCain; Big Finance should write americas economic policy

McCain: Give more tax cuts to the richest 5%, who recieved 99% of all economic benifit for the last 8 years.

McCain: Stay in Iraq, rationalize the nation building and lies, sending more and more national treasure 10 billion a week, to support big oil. Sacrifice the lives of 4500 americans for zionism and big oil.

McCain: 73 years old, unable to distinguish sunni from shiite, same as Bush.

McCain: War hero? Last in his class at Anapolis. Shot down while bombing civilian light bulb factory at 10,000 feet with incindiary bombs. rescued from drowning by Vietnamese fisherman. Thrown in a hole for 5 years. Vietnam: 58,000 dead for a political fantasy. 10 times tht many severly wounded or PTS. War hero? Spent the rest of his life beating his chest about his false war hero status.

McCain: son of a son of an admiral, military loyalist to the bone. Militant warrior.

McCain: elitist, married to an elitist.

Cindy MccCain, Beer heiress. Lobbied against Mothers for Drunk driving (MADD) law for sensible drunk driving law. McCains son also lobbied for such. McCain voted against MADD. McCain, in the pocket of big oil, Big Liquor.

McCain is not 71 yet, is more experienced then the man-child the Democrats are trying to foist on this country, and understans National Security. Obama does not understand National Security, and has dubious plans to confront our worst enemies.
