Our energy problem is not distribution energy. We have a huge supply of coal, if worst comes to worst (it's coming). Nuclear power promises both distribution energy (electricity) and transportation energy - a nuclear powered car has already been built.
France is at 80% nuclear, and Japan is at 70% nuclear. The UK is at 50%. We lag these nations, and it impacts pricing and our strategic decision making. France has developed a process to refine spent fuel. Enough spent fuel exist in America *right now* to power every American house for *10 years*. We need to catch up to the other nations and execute a national strategy to build nuclear power stations.
