    FTA:

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi apparently has decided there won't be a vote this year to permanently prevent the government from imposing the so-called Fairness Doctrine on broadcasters. In fact, Pelosi favors re-establishing the doctrine, which would elevate government as the final arbiter of what's fair in major portions of public discourse. In a nation founded on the principle of freedom from government control, we have strayed far when government presumes to regulate free speech. Pelosi has made it clear she favors such an infringement by once again establishing the misnamed Fairness Doctrine for broadcast media."

I (unfortunately) have come to expect this kind of thing from Nancy "Mussolini" Pelosi

If you can't beat them, silence them.

The "Fairness Doctrine" is a fig leaf for the inconvenient truth that liberals can't compete in the talk radio marketplace. Forcing parity between liberals and conservatives when it doesn't exist in the marketplace will end up killing the talk radio format - which suits Pelosi and Co just fine.

Conservative talk radio wouldn't exist if mainstream broadcasters were more balanced. Like Rush Limbaugh once said, "I am equal time."

I couldn't have said it better.

This is the "open" Congress we were expecting? The one where ethics is paramount?

          Sounds like business as usual.

My kudos to Mike Pence (R)Indiana for leading the charge to stop this thing.

The liberal democrats are the party of free speech until someone says something they don't like. What a bunch of whining brats, such babies, they act like they have never gotten out of kindergarten.
