Bush lied about this like he lies about most everything else.
In 2007, when the Red Cross report was first published, Bush was asked at a press conference if he had seen the report. His reply was "no" and "we don't torture". TWO lies in one sentence.

Facts are facts Klarris, like Scott McClellan's book facts... Are you in your typical state of repug denial again?
Fact: Kofi called Dumya a war criminal.
Fact: MAJ Ritter, said all along Dumya was lying!
Probable Fact: The Cheney Classified Energy Meeting Minutes with the likes of Ken Lay has the basis of war just for greed!
Fact: We helped hang at least 3 Japanese after WW2 for the same torture!

And in Greenspan's book he said, "I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil."
Klarissa,
If you can in your mind justify 4000 killed and some 26,000 injured and scarred for life young Americans, to say nothing about the thousands of Iraq's killed and injured.
FOR WHAT? OIL!!!
The truth is, for you to not recognize that fact and many others just shows you are probably so idealistically case hardened that you turn away and ignore the facts, that are staring you square in the face!
If the decider had told the people that he was waging war for oil, would you have supported that?

Just because she critiques the Bush administration, it doesn't make her claims false. In point of fact, it strengthens her position as she is outside of his grasp.
And everyone hopes to make a lot of money. That is why Bush became president according to him. All he could talk about in the interview last year was how much money he thinks he will make on the public speaking circuit.
Your defense has no merit.

If it takes the Red Cross to get our conscience in gear, so be it.

"Would make them guilty of war crimes?" THEY ARE GUILTY OF WAR CRIMES and yet here they are with their smugness and unrepentent aires of self assuredness and in a total state of self denial that they've done anything wrong. History, as history does, will show these American Monsters for who they truely are and the totality of who is included in this exclusive terrorist organization which is the Bush Administration.

Ghostwhowalks: I whole heartedly agree with you. That is why this particular election is a decidedly very important one. Not that every election isn't important, mind you, just THIS one is a turning point in the "Growing Up" of America and it's politics. WE have to take a stand and go and retreive our government back, returning to, by the people, for the people. Enough is enough and time for us to all take a stand and force change, the only way to start is to change our leaders. We do have the power to exact that change. We have to exact that change in November. Time is NOW. Revolution at the polls.

If the current administration were Democrats and had done everything the Bush administration has done, you had better believe that the Republicans would have been SCREAMING about this a LONG time ago - and if Bush were a Democrat, he would have been impeached a LONG time ago by the Republicans.
The Republican party is nothing short of amoral and hypocritical. The things they do are just fine all the time - but if the Democrats did the SAME things they would be skewered by the Republicans for it.

The Red Cross and their opinion means nothing to me. Where were they when Sadam was hanging people by the goalposts and chopping off hands? Where were they when Daniel Pearl's head was cut off by barbarian Muslims? Where were they when we disclosed torture chambers in Iraq that drilled holes in people and had instruction books on torture?
All we do is give them a good face washing.
That is not torture.

Then you should be the first to volunteer to go through waterboarding so afterwards you can say "it's not torture." That is if you're able to form a coherent sentence after going through it. Which more than half the American soldiers I've watched go through it in counter-int training couldn't do.

Do you really beleive waterboarding is the worst our government does automan? Deusional at best, our so called leaders are as corrupt and sadistic as the worst of them, don't kid yourself. But then again you probably don't beleive in American terrorism and it's very exisitence within our own government and populous. Wake up and smell the bombs,

I hope and pray that Bush, Cheney, that whole filthy with corruption administration winds up on trial in international court for the war crimes they have committed. And after they have been tried and convicted, I hope they round up every person known to have supported their reign of torture and terror, like you, and throw every one of your sorry arses in Gitmo where you belong.
