  Our current "GreatUniter" hasn't done any of us any unification favors either. The "You're either with us or against us" mentality promoted by our current administration has caused a great chasm and has certainly polarized our electorate. You're either on the left or the right. There are no more moderates. You fall in line on one side or the other.

  They can pretend all they want, but their unprincipled strategy is clear and consistent; use the bigotry of polticial ideology, racism, Zionism, classism, sexual preference, and sexism to divide the electorate up over issues that are secondary to the best interests of the nation as a whole.

    Now I have to take the contrarian view:

    The "best interests of the nation as a whole" are largely a chimera. I would be happy to see someone ready to embrace the best interests of the working class. That would take care of 99 percent of us, and they can grind the other one percent into fscking sausage for all I care.

  My cool friend, I sure ain't gonna' start now. The Republicans have NEVER represented the disadvantaged! To them, they are canon fodder. Show me a "good" neocom, and I'll part the ocean and walk upon it.

  In my sixty-four years, the GOP has never shown mercy upon all whom they hate. They are lepers, feeding off the good and pooping on the poor. Why? The only thing the GOP cares about is the amount of money they can distribute among themselves.

  And unlike those "white-trash," SwampFox knows the truth.

  I agree,get some rest.Come back refreshed and ready to LEAD.

  END - not increase or expand - the office of Faith Based in

  our White House.

  NEVER - agree that we have a white-collar skilled worker

  shortage and consent to raising the limits of H1B visas

  available. Nearly 100,000 are allowed annually -

  and once issued, are good for SIX years. And that is using

  the CURRENT caps. Without upping the caps, that means that

  in just 5 years corporations could let 500,000 workers go

  and request an H1B visa holder that they will pay $1,000

  LESS per MONTH(on average). Economically speaking, when

  there is a REAL shortage doesn't the value go UP? Funny how

  they can fire you and pay a discount rate for your "SCARCE"

  replacement!

  NEVER - vote to grant immunity from prosecution to yet

  ANOTHER corporate entity. THEY - more than ANY of us -

  have the staff and resources to avail themselves of our

  legal system.

  REST - THINK and LEAD, Mr. Obama - we are

  counting on you.

    Though true in a supply and demand model, historically foreign labor is brought in to devalue the labor market. Look at how Germany used Polish labor. Look at the tech support at most U.S. companies. You know there were and are plenty of Americans who wanted those jobs. But why not replace them with 3rd world workers who only need a few dollars a week to do well in their localized economic system. Obama has only surprised me in a disappointing way on the FISA issue.

      I am already VERY familiar with IT workers being jettisoned

      from lifelong careers to make room for H1B visa holders.

      It is NOT the foreign workers that are to blame - the visas

      must be requested by the company. Forget loyalty -

      forget 21st century skills - this is corporate GREED in

      collusion with "our" Congress. Bottom line - where should

      an skilled American IT professional apply for a job?
