Propeller Gets a Major Overhaul, But is It All Good? »

Propeller, AOL's Digg clone, has been revamped in a major way as of Tuesday. The revamp had already been announced, but the magnitude of it surprised me. Not only have they dropped voting for an obscure "prop" functionality (prop a story up, get it?), where a story is ranked 1-10 based on a number of factors.

Way too confusing. Read a story, tried to comment on it but the story disappeared and I gave up trying to locate it.

The new format sucks donkey balls. The majority of 'front page' stories are spam, you cannot vote spam down (or, for that matter, political rants filled with lies). It looks slick, but contains less solidity. Come to think of it, it's the perfect mirror for America. Looks more slick every day but filled with less substance.

Well, the cool layout keeps going away, I can't reply to any comments. Half of my comments go to a '500 error' page and if I try to submit again the comment gets deleted as 'spam'. It's hard to find articles, the Religion channel is gone.
I like some of the stuff (or I imagine I might if they worked).

Oh, and the other article titled 'What's Going On?' regarding this change was deleted because it violated the Propeller TOU.
'Growing pains' are one thing, but seems to me your QA/testing staff had FAR too many Mojito lunches.

(Just got a '500 error' when submitting this. Lets try it again and see if my comment gets deleted a 'spam'.)

I'm happy to see we have all found something we agree on.
THIS WELL AND TRULY SUCKS.
every time I click something the page format is different, comments disappear, navigation is a nightmare, stories are hard to find, the damn 500 error appears 4 out of five times you change pages, I am constrained by societal limits on language to tell you what I really think.
(although the donkey ball comment is getting close)
(18th try at commenting on propeller today. . will it work?)
